Our goal at Open Hands Art is to provide a supportive community where we all have the freedom to explore and grow creatively.
Sue, a local ceramic artist, created Heart and Hands Clay Studio in 2003 as a place where both children and adults can develop their imagination and creativity. Sue emphasizes community and limitless creative expression in clay.
Page, a local painter, founded Open Window Studio in 2003 to offer classes to children and adults of all ages. She encourages the creative exploration of ideas and materials in an atmosphere that is fun, respectful, and full of surprises.
In 2005 Sue and Page combined their passions for art and teaching and created Open Hands Art Camp - a place where children create art and community together. They now offer classes to children, middle and high schoolers and adults all year long.
Laura graduated from CU this past spring with a degree in studio arts. She especially loves fibers and metalsmithing. When she is not helping us out at Open Hands Art, she works for a local jeweler. Laura's gentle guidance and creativity is treasured by all of us at Open Hands Art.
